Interview with a Wolf
Edith: Today we’re speaking with a wolf on the program. Thanks for being with me.
Wolf: It’s my pleasure.
E: So, what are some things that people might not know about wolves?
W: We love to have a good time.
E: Are you aware that some people hunt wolves from the air?
W: What?
E: Some people hunt wolves from their airplanes and helicopters. They follow you in the air until it’s easy to shoot you.
W: What are you talking about?
E: They hunt wolves from—
W: No, I mean, I heard you. I heard what you said. But what on earth is that? From planes. Oh wait, is it sick people? Like, people who can’t walk? Is it through Make a Wish program? That’s a little unusual, but I understand. There are a lot of wolves, and children with cancer should be able to feel the adrenaline, and the fresh air on their faces. They do open the plane windows so that the sick children can feel the air on their faces, don’t they?
E: Yes.

The interview is funny. It’s just that, are you trying to be realistic or are you trying just to inform? Well, for both accounts, you should talk about the important facts. Like how,why,andwhen did the wolves become endangered and Wolf should try to be more…I don’t know…wolfy.Eidth(did I spell that wrong?) should ask the how,why,and when questions. But who cares what I say? I’m just SUGGESTING this. You guys do whatever you want and do the interview in a way you think best.

Wolf seems very innocent and idealistic, perhaps even naiive and unaware of the danger he is in. Very much like me I suppose.

they kill the pups too. humans think they’re saving other species by killing off the predators, but really they’re upsetting the balance causing both species to be wiped out. the problem is humans not the wolves

wolves are sacred animals so to speak. to read that wolves are being hunted from the air just takes my breath away, wolves are my all time favorite animals and hearing them be hunted and killed this way just makes me feel like their taking away the worlds most beautiful animals. i mean, what have the wolves do to us? wolves to me are family, and family is definitely sacred.

I LOVE WOLVES. and humans are just plain annoying to me. Have you looked at the ICUN Endangered Species list? More then a 300 animals are endangered. So mean.

I agree with Soandso, Raven, and eliza huock. Put out the important facts, this is a real issue, not just something to laugh about. People who don’t know the facts may now just brush off the fact that wolves are being killed because they just see it as a joke.

This is a pretty cruel joke, at least for me. I love wolves, and they are beatiful creatures. I spend all my time on WolfQuest, learning about wolves, and thinking about these kind of hunters is kind of frightning, what about all the other animals humans said, “Hey, there are to many of these animals. We should try to lower the population”, and then they are on the endangered animals list, like the grey wolf was.

I dot like to hear that people are hunting from the air let alone at all. We humans have NO right to just kill these beautiful animals, when they have done nothing to us!! And what really makes me sick is that alot of people do it just for fun!!! I feel like we should be helping them, not distroying them!!! I expecially feel really close to the wolves. I feel like they are killing a part of me everytime I read about it!! And last but not least they also kill the pups!!! Why kill such fragile innocent creaturs??? Its almost like someone coming into your home and killing you, your wife/husband and your kids saying that its to keep the rest of you undercontrol and not over populate……. Its stupid!!!

Who is Wolf? I find it interesting that someone will form an opinion from an animal’s point of view and subsequently am very confused! Wolves are my favourite animal because they have so many gentle qualities yet are quite obviously fierce and wild, but surely they cannot use a computer?
May i ask if Wolf would reply back to this so that i can ask more questions?? Like, how does your pack work given that you’re human? Why is it you call yourself Wolf? Do you get to spend time with wolves? How much do you know about this animal etc? Sorry for being so nosey but an interview would be awesome…
And to the last post, technically if you feel so strongly about the value of the life of a wolf should that not translate to all creatures? Even a common house spider is beautiful in it’s own way and a marvellous creation in itself. What about the value of the life of the meat you eat?
Wolves may not convey it but they do not waste meat like how we do which shows that they appreciate the sacrifice for survival.
I agree humans should not recklessly kill wolves but we humans are prone to destroy anything/ everything of natural beauty because a lot of us don’t value the things that matter, sadly. Even more so when it comes to our fellow man so try not to judge mankind so harshly; we’ll eventually destroy each other and the world through our own ignorance for not all of us know what we do.
Until you can feel empathy for the world down to each blade of grass then you shouldn’t feel anger towards your brother; just try and show them how to make it right and forgive them if they fall down. It’s the only way we’ll ever redeem ourselves and live in harmony with this world.
